Hi Guys,

Bike is just back from annual service, and now the ABS and Red Triangle warning lights are flashing in an alternating fashion. Anyone have an owners manual handy and can tell me what this might signify? Did a forum search but couldn't find this exact pattern..

Thanks!

How many flashes per second?

If both flash once per second then Brake fluid level is too low.
Both four flashes per second then ABS fault.

Mine hasn't got ABS or ASC but I've just looked in my book and it says:-
ABS flashing - self diagnosis not complete.
ASC flashing (red triangle) - self diagnosis not complete.

So, I'd say your self diagnosis is not complete!

The advice in the book is to "pull away slowly - the ABS and ASC is not available until at least 5 kph is reached".

That's it in the book. Presumably you mean that they still flash when riding. If so, considering it's just back from service, I'd be talkin' to the dealer.
Hope this helps!

Phil

They're both flashing, they only start flashing after doing a couple of miles, flashing about once per second, alternating between the two lights..

Well, the bikes gone back to the dealer so I'll eagerly await their diagnosis.

Thanks for the replies!

Just for posterity, the alleged cause was dirt in the ABS sensor, which caused it to report that the brakes were running low on brake fluid. '05 GS, 20K kms, ABS.

Just make sure that the front brake lever is not just touching the handguard.
