Anyway.... A mate I've known for years (Alan) got out his new toy , and AC/DC TIG welder and repaired it for me
A mighty fine job he's done too..... if you've got anything you need fixing he's more than willing , due to him breaking his ankle tripping over his laces recently....He's bored shitless
