All ex-sports bikers....too true.

In fact, sat on an R1 a week or two back to remind meself what I've left behind........GOOD LORD - felt like I was perched on a minimoto. Glad to scamper back into the teutonic heft of the GSA anyday.

Nice one mines due in two weeks cant wait enjoy, what are you going to put in them big boxes? :D

Never had a sports bike

I reckon a few cheap deals will be had if more leave them to jump on the adventure type bikes

Mmmm a litre sports with knobblies might fun .....

busa

yep ex hayabusa rider here but never again i lurveeee my gsa

Your new bike looks great, enjoy it!

Just before Xmas, I bought a neglected 929 Fireblade to do up over the winter period to keep me busy. Just got it back on the road. Its a great bike, powerful, handles and brakes very well, good mirrors and well made. But size wise its like sitting on a 600, its ok for 45 minutes or so but gets achingly tiring beyond that.

Cant wait till I get my GSA back out on the road, just as soon as all the salt has gone.

:clap:clap:clap

I have been on sports bike since 1985 and loved every minute of it I ended up with my dream bike a Ducati 1198 but after going to the sachenring last year which in real terms isn't that far it absolutely killed me my wrists and back were sore and I had a dodgy hip anyway so the time was right, I had a test ride on all the leading adventure bikes s10,multi, motto guzzi but loved the feel of the GS I read all the doom and gloom threads on here mainly from RASHER about final drive problems and BMW after care but thought b....cks I want one and i will make my own mind up!

Congrats on the new bike, I hope you enjoy it as I'm sure you will.

Funny you should mention Cannons, I was down there last Tuesday. I mooched about in the showroom, sat on 2/3 bikes, was there for 20-30 minutes and not once did anyone come up to me and ask if I needed some help/sales etc.

I'm not saying I like to be hassled whilst browsing, but an acknowledgement of my existence would have been nice, it's not as if I'm easy to miss!!:blast

I used to own a Gixxer amongst other sports bike. I've not owned a 4 cylinder bike for over 10 years now and never will. Once the big twin thing gets under you skin there's no going back.
