Well I picked up my '08 GSA a week last Monday, haven't posted since because I've been *trying* to ride it every chance I get, to get the running-in done before the 19th, which is when I've got the 600-mile service booked for.
Really enjoying it so far, but also realising how rusty I am after not riding for 5 years. Looking forward to an upcoming BikeSafe day and some advanced training sometime as well.
I was torn between the GS and GSA, but as I wanted the bigger screen, engine bars and cylinder head covers, by the time you've added those to a GS you're nearly at GSA money, so just went for it.
Dealer was great, after initially hearing it would be 6 weeks for a new GSA, they called to say they would have one in 2 weeks, then later called to tell me that they had found a bike in the system that was heading for another dealer but was currently unsold, so they called that dealer and did a stock swap and I got my GSA 1 week after ordering!!!
Only slight annoyance was that their workshop was flat out and they could only manage the PDI in that time, but didn't have time to fit the tinted screen, tankbag and topbox that I had ordered. But I'm getting those done at the first service instead.
So where's the bloody good weather gone then???
If anyone here is near Sevenoaks and fancies meeting up for a ride sometime then let me know.
