Up the clough on number nine nail..
After much contemplation i've finally gone and bought the adv...in the very fast silver primer too.I finally choped the gixxer thou in at Allan Jefferies in shipley, great guys and thanks to Richard Watson for playing ball with the deal .
Great bike and i dont have ANY regrets at all, does what it says on the tin.THought before i picked it up i may get screen probs as discussed on this forum, but my worries were unfounded no probs at all(5'11 tall). What a breath of fresh air , its like the first bike you ever get feeling if you know what i mean.
If your reading these pages and thinking of gs 'ing try one tommorow its a bike you can REALLY USE!

I got a replacement bike (1150RT) today because my adv was in for its 20K service. To be honest compared to the GS it felt like a moped (going a little faster though). The adv is so much more of a bike between your legs.
I was soooooooooooo happy I got it back in theevening and it made me realise again what a fantastic bike this is. You won't regret your purchase!

Cheers

First decent blast.....

Well lads had the GSA a couple o days now and have done around 300 miles today (saturday). What a laugh ,we've been all over ,up ,down all kinds o shit. This bike is great ,soooo versatile and willing to pull all the time.I was a little worried by the feckin size o the mutha but once ya rollin its true what yo all say"the weight just vanishes".Fantatstic bike ,my only dissapointment is that i haven't bought one earlier.Gonna have to get rid o the Haga rep alpinestars leathers tho-i look a real prick on this one in those!

Just got one (ADV) as well

I agree, I have recently sold my Honda Blackbird, which I owned for three years and thought I would never sell. Bought an accident damaged 02 Adventure with 5000 miles on it for £4000, spent another £1000 to make it ok. What a FANTASTIC BIKE, I never used to come home after a ride on the Blackbird with such a big grin!

Good move....then you can get some Rallye 2 kit and look a complete prick in that ;)

Exactly how I feel, I cannot wait to get an ADV after taking one out last week for a few hours, i'm more used to riding sports bikes but have now seen the light and now combing the bike ads for a second hand ADV. What a riding position, I covered about 100 miles and felt like I could spend hours and hours riding this bike, bring it on!!:D
