We've ridden and driven in Spain a lot and while we tend to favour Paradores, which (almost) all have decent restaurants, we've eaten elsewhere a fair bit too.
While I can't pretend to have done any proper comparisons, I'd say Spanish restaurants are in general a fair bit cheaper. Lots of restaurants advertise their Menu del Dia and even in tourist traps these can be had for well under E20, and often include a basic drink too. It won't be fancy food, but it will be decent enough.
I'd definitely bank on being able to eat a decent three course meal for two with a bottle of Cava for E80.
We budget on a Parador being E300 a night for room, breakfast and dinner. But they are a cut above your average Logis hotel in France. And breakfast will be a much bigger meal than a French hotel, so you don't need lunch.
EDIT: Can anyone tell me how to get the Euro sign on my Windows laptop?
