GPS advice - not for a motorbike

Third party info I am getting (since we do not have NT products here in Oz) is that the data is the same but a different file compression technique is used.

New models can read either and older models are slowly getting their firmware upgraded to read NT file strutures.
Consider one FAT and the other FAT 32 with compression.

Hi Burnie:

I think there might be a bit more to it than just that - notably the ability of the NT cartography to support the TMC service. But, I'm not 100% sure.
