If anyone is thinking of replacing the standard BMW GPS with a Zumo etc, the connection is the same as ever. It can be found in the “pod” behind the screen. To access, remove screen, set support arms halfway open and remove the two bolts securing the tubular gps support bar. The pod can be opened from the top giving somewhat tight access to the plug. I’ve fitted a Zumo XT with Touratech locking mount. Cheers.
