GPS Co-Ordinates

OK opening my self up to being calle a total thick tawt.
How would i enter this co-ordinate into the waypoint info in Mapsource?

N 47° 4' 51'' - E 10° 27' 37''

I ask because when I plot it as i think it should be i end up in the middle of nowhere

N 47 4.51 E10 27.37

Should they all be 3 fig?

Coordinates are tricky. There are a hundred ways of writing down the same location...

I find making a temporary waypoint and then amending the details till it reflects what / where I want it. So try somewhere near Kempten and adjust as required.

I just put the numbers in to Mapsource N47 04 51.0 E10 27 37.0

And it put me slap bang on a road nr a hotel, the Al Torrente in See (map) is that what you expect?

Yeah that was the place but i got the middle of nowhere!
