GPS Map60c and Metroguidev6.0Europe

I understand that Metroguide Europe doesn't provide autorouting on the GPSR only the PC but why can't I download maps and routes onto the GPSR?Maps are fine but the routes apparently load OK but when I hit 'navigate now'the GPSR autoroutes using the 'A' roads in the base map not the more detailed maps from Metroguide.This results in useless route with lots of straightline branches to my 'vias'.I think I'm missing something here!

Stupid question - have you unlocked the maps?

Could be that you have 'routing' in the set up menu on 'off road instead of follow road setting.

Hit menu twice
'Setup' icon - enter
scroll down to 'routing' - enter
Guidance method must be on ' follow road' if its on 'off road' it will take you in staright lines between you waypoints.
