Im off for a bit of a lazy adventure/organized tour very soon, and i am using the time out there to plan and scout out the idea of doing the same trip again but solo.
Morroco is the place,i know is not quite the wild frontier anymore.....but we have all got to start our round the world daydream somewhere.
Im thinking, that a GPS system would be an expensive luxury with not a huge amount of help once into the more isolated area's,and maybe its better to rely on the old fashioned map reading/compass bearings....is this a wrong assumption....or will a GPS provide good coverage and value once dodging camels,or would an digital compass/trekking GPS be better......any ideas?
( I normally carry a silva compass at least for direction finding )
