Yesterday, just before 10am I ordered a RAM mount from The GPS Warehouse. It arrived in the post this morning, registered delivery, and is now on my bike. Cracking service I'd say, and they're very helpful on the 'phone too. Pity I've got to wait 'till sunday to get out and use it!

Oh, I'm sure this is common knowledge, but rather than cut the fag lighter plug off my power lead and fit a BMUU plug, is an adapter available to plug a fag lighter into a BM socket? Or vice versa?

They sell them at South London Motorcycles to if you're near Cousldon. I think most BMW dealersstock them, cost around £10.

you would be better advised to get yourself an open ended lead
and connect it to the battery

Hi Slimie,
Do you have a picture of the ram mount on fitted on your bike? and which one was it, I've had a look at them before and could not work out the best way of fitting.

Mine's an 1150, so not the same as your bike, but it's simply the Ram U-bolt (on the left side handlebar), a short arm and then a mount for the GPS.
I know Ram-Man was working out a solution using the 1200's clock surrounds so a search might turn up something.
