I`m currently using my trusted Nuvi 500 navigator (quite same as 550).
Navi works quite fine but I`m looking for new one and maybe leaving this as secondary device.

Few things that I`d like to be improved:
- general speed of working when using detailed topomap or longish route. Sometimes device counts quite long when zoomin or moving map.
- maybe better usage with gloves, it works, but especially zooming is a bit hard when pressing touch screen "buttons"
- better possibility to modify routes with device. Possibility to turn route or track around on device.

I have used my friends 660 and it haven`t convinced me totally.
Feels like it has some lag sometimes.

660 pros:
- easy to get powered from bike
- bigger screen

GPSmap62x pros:
- more rugged
- maybe better usage with buttons
- possibility to use AA-accus/batteries when no change to charge it
cons:
- seems like its not easy to get charged from bike?
- smaller screen
(- no touch sceen)

Any opinions? Any other recommended Garmin devices?
I`m slightly on 62 side.

im in the same situation, all the people ive spoke to seem to really rate the 660,so after months of checking and reading i think its going to be the best option for me,i suppose it all comes down to personal useage, ill let you know how i get on,im ordeing it on satarday29th(i just cant let my wife know )

After all I did also get 660. First I had Garmin Colorado for a while but updated it to Zumo. First Zumo was faulty but it was replaced under warranty.

So far I`ve been happy with it and just ordered Sena kit.
