The latest edition of the German Ride magazine (published in cooperation with Motorrad magazine) is devoted to northwest France and Brittany.

GPX routes and half decent maps. Instant holidays, all for very little effort.

Here’s a simple sample:

The downloads work well. I always try to download third party GPX files as tracks:

Download the full set at leisure:

I have downloaded the full set into my MyRoute library. It took seconds to do:

Someone contacted me via PM, asking why their download of the GPX files into MyRoute, flashed up a warning that there are no waypoints.

Without waypoints, MyRoute cannot process and display a route.

The solution I gave was to download the GPX file(s) as a track:

This resolved the fellow’s problem. Hopefully, it will be of help to others, too.

Once you have the track, you can then ask MyRoute to convert it to a route. Do though check what the conversion process renders up. That said, everyone should always check all routes carefully before using them. A minute or two spent checking a route (including checking what is displayed on the GPS device) can potentially save hours of frustration on a holiday.

As I have now found a way to reliably share an entire folder, here’s the lot. There’s a few extras, too. Some are tracks and some are routes:

Anyway, there’s more than enough for an entire holiday…. And yes, I’m sure they miss the awesome three miles of the D123

Richard, are your downloads available for others to download? Currently in hospital and never seem to have enough time for anything

Hi Paul,

Yes, you should be able to download them via the link in post #4.

Get well.

Richard

PS If you get stuck downloading the files, PM me.
