Booked a couple of nights thanksyou can stay in what should be a newly refurbished Parador in Cuenca then! Looks a lovely place.
Do you mean the Tablas de Damiel? No other National parks in that area ...I'm looking at heading SE of Ciudad Real to Valdepenas (just because I like the DO wine!) then into the National Park SE of the A32. Then loop north back up towards Albacete for 1 night. There looks to be some nice roads through pine forests and National Parks between Albacete and Albarracín.

I'll keep an eye out Wessie. Might be a few of your routes we can do whilst we are thereand a revised route, still a figure of 8 centred on Siguanza. Again, this is just waypoints joined up by Google maps. I've decided to spend more time in NE Spain exploring the Cantabrian mountains and then a couple of nights in Pamplona where I have not been before. I have found a nice 200 mile circuit on the Ride website into France that I can do from Pamplona that takes in 2 passes in the Pyrenees I have yet to ride.

I will now work on some routes and post them here in due course, so patience Richard! I'm not going until May.

seem to be Natural Parks, not national. I only look for the green shading on Google Maps
+1. Fantastic riding from Siles - https://maps.app.goo.gl/W7jgY8jZ1AHQCXUPANice, I spent a few days exploring there based at Riopar but if I went again I'd start at Siles. Lovely roads and scenery. The Cazorla area is great but as it gets towards the southern end there's lots of tourism based around the source of the Guadalquivir river - the one that ends up going through Sevilla and the Doñana PN - so the A-319 south to Aroyo Frio is very congested. It's also more or less a dead end as climbing up over the head of the river the road drops down to Cazorla itself, which is a dump, you look our over an expanse of olive cultivation that spreads literally from horizon to horizon, all equally spaced like a mega dot matrix - impressive if it's not lost in the heat haze but I'm not sure of the view is worth effort to get there!

First day, well afternoon as arriving in Santander lunchtime so probably not off the boat until after 2pm……
@Wapping - let me know if you can download this GPX file from Onedrive. It was created directly onto my Zumo 390 and exported via USB file transfer. I do this as I know the route will work on my device and is easy to edit in the field as a) I know the device well and b) no 3rd party foibles to fuck it up.
thanks, now for the other 14 days, well probably fewer as I will have at least two exploring on foot in Salamanca and Cordoba, and maybe one in Pamplona. Here it is displayed in Pocket Earth Pro on my iPad. It’s the bold magenta line:
Yup, I rode from Siles to Yeste via amazing trail and did the rest+1. Fantastic riding from Siles - https://maps.app.goo.gl/W7jgY8jZ1AHQCXUPA
