Grabby brakes GSA

Hi,

This is probably just me but when coming to a stop my brakes seem to grab which makes me look like a silly tit when stopping especially when fully loaded

I'm trying extra hard to be smoother, however I've not really sussed it yet. I'm not braking hard, other bikes I've ridden have no issues.

Any suggestions? Any different pads that could help?

My 06 with servo brakes is a bit like that at almost a standstill, I just put up with it, funny thing is that it is usually worse just after a service then gets better as the miles go on

Check that all pistons are moving. If some are sticking you will get strange brake behaviour.

Pistons all fine on mine, in fact I had new discs and pads fitted last year, felt exactly the same afterwards.
There just isn't a lot of feel with my servo brakes, the lever only moves a small amount before I'm nearly doing a stoppie, it's always felt the same.
As the op says at low speed they can feel a bit grabby,

The OP has a 2011 model, no servo, but could be old enough to need a brake strip and clean with pistons out.
On a servo bike with small lever travel a cranked lever that sits closer to the bar might be more comfortable to use.
