Graphic card

I bought Call of Duty 2 Modern Warfare for my son and have discovered that my graphics card is out of date, viz.from Can You Run It website

Does this mean I have to get a new card fitted or can this be upgraded online?

maybe a new motherboard too.
i built mine purely for gaming, you can get your bits cheap from Microdirect.
i would recommend at least the 8800GT graphics card, this will run it fine or any good graphics card that supports DX10.
im running 4gig of Performance ram but 2 gig will be fine.
it all depends on how much your lad plays games on the pc.
sometimes it is best to start with a newer pc that has a good motherboard, then you can upgrade bits as you go.

I would however check Microdirect with Scan international some bits cheaper at one than the other. Just make sure your MOBO is up to it as well.

Same here, I upgraded my 2004 3.6 Pentium4 with 1 GB RAM yesterday, new 600W power supply, RAM upped to 3GB and a ATI 4670 1GB Graphics card.

Took about 2hrs - bought bits from PC world so not the cheapest, all bits about £200, just to play MWCOD2! Monitor resolution much improved.

Played the game for 20mins today, too tired for the PIT!.

Think my next move will be to build my own PC.
