Nae ligs frae the knees doon , rode s K75 sidecar ootfit, camped, bunkhoused, ayewiz wi' the lads . One of life true gents , crisp clear mind till the end.
Created the 'drum up ' at Lochearnside and Jack anither 'DR' wa' started the Calvine site gauin'.
These men were motorcyclists, and true human beings and gentlemen.
I worked for a few years wie anither DR. His lasting memory o' the Japs wiz bein' telt tae disable his bike on a causeway and dump it oor the side - he hated the 'enemy' till his die'in' day - aye Tearlach anither human being, an a hard workin' wan tae, Velocette man tae the end.His MAC wis pit in the windae o' the Cupar Motorcycle Shop afore the war an styde ther till he came came tae collect it.He had it till he deed. The battery carrier wiz used by me as a template tae mak a copy fir ma' MSS.
