In response to a thread on this site I went offroading on the 1150 last weekend.
Fantastic!
I'd previously done the BM offroad course (great) but this was a more 'do it' than teach it bias.
5 of us including Lee the guide - rest on trailees - me on the BM, made it but seriously knackered - 7 hours of great fun & fantastic scenary.
Lee (1150 & now 1200 owner plus lots of other gorgeous bikes) is a great guide, in 7 hours he barely looked at a map (no gps), great local knowledge, great skills.
Highly recommend it, I'm definatly going back for more (probably with other half) and/or would do a group trip. (own bike or lee can supply)
Not usually comfortable with giving plugs, but have no doubts with this one (especially as he's a GSer)
See Lee's site at WWW.AMCH.CO.UK - he does what it says on the tin!

:beerjug:

Sorry Rushy, but after 7 hours on the 1150 following 250 Yams etc. I still couldn't hold a camera (3 days later) - seriously aching arms!
Will try to be more organised next time, though to be honest I'm in two minds about even sharing this little discovery!

I paid Lee just 30 quid to tag along - he wants to generate busines by WOM so it's a great deal at the moment - he also does full packages inc. bike hire and/or accomodation - i'm sure he would do a group rate.

Fun..

Sounds like fun..

Lee, you not out on your 1200.. tut tut.. :D

PS.. if you really want a good day out green laining i can second Riverkings recommendations.. Lee's setup is good.

Though i cannot vouch for Lee's personal sanity mind you.. but i can for his capacity to drink like a fishy.. :D

Thanks Steve, it was nice to meet a man with balls on a real bike.
John mines a pint of lager!!
