Great news for BMW riders - Belfast gets a reliable independant service option

I was delighted to be among the first customers at Belfast's newest motorcycle garage. The owner and man on the spanners is Billy McCutcheon who many will remember from his time with Dainese and Hursts.

Billy is a Beemer enthuiast of many years and really knows his way around the bikes, he is also a very decent guy, a hard worker and a stickler for detail (the kind of detail that gets you home from remote places and gives you peace of mind). I know - it sounds like he is paying me to say this! But seriously I just want to share the good news with anyone looking for a quality service for BMW bikes.

The workshop is in Rushfield Avenue, off the Ormeau Road in Belfast. When I left the bike off last week Billy was still putting the finishing touches to the premises so this is breaking news!

Just off the phone with Billy, he has a work shop full of bikes already! I've known Billy for the past 15 years and I know he has an eye for attention to detail, something often forgotten about by other bike mechanics. I have no doubt his work shop will be kept busy.

Billy sold me my first bike from Owens, which wasn't bad because I'm not even sure he was a salesman in those days! Although I stand to be corrected.

There's nothing of worth that Billy doesn't know about beemers or Africa Twins or pretty much most bikes around. It's great that he's 'back on the tools' and I know just how he likes things to be done properly. Attention to detail, quality and the truth is what you'll get from 'Honest Bill'.

Just got my bike back....

....and I am delighted with the work done by Billy.
His work is thorough and he takes the time to explain what's going on and answer the numerous daft questions I put to him.
Even though we had to leave the bike at his while waiting for parts he couldn't have been more helpful.
