Something of a tale with good news and bad news but great customer service.
I bought 2 new tyres from Micheldever in May for my 03 Adv and unfortunately the front wheel jumped off the jig whilst being fitted and the rim was damaged. Micheldever were very apologetic and offered immediately to get it sorted. Apparently the jaws they were using struggled with the width of the rim on the Adv wheels and they have since changed them.
The wheel was still serviceable and they agreed I would keep it until the family holiday when they would come and collect it to sort it out.
Came back from holidays on Wednesday 10th Aug and called Micheldever, the wheel had not been fixed they had passed it to someone in the Southampton area (wouldn't tell me who) who had completely messed it up. They asked for my chassis number and advised me they would order a new wheel from SPC who advised it would be 7-10 days from Germany.
Terry from Micheldever knocked on the door today at 3pm on his way home from work with the brand new wheel which SPC had managed to get in 2 days and fitted it in the garage.
In spite of the initial accident on the jig Micheldever have delivered excellent customer service, I have not had to ask or argue they have always been ready to make sure the situation was put completely right.
I have used them for years because they are very reasonable and effecient, I would now add customer service to that recomendation.
Looking forward to getting out tomorrow.
