Green Lane and Off-Road Tossers 2nd Monthly Wombat hunt

Clocks change on Sunday

Don't forget guys that the clocks change this Sunday and we will be setting off at 10:00 new time.

Greg, as you didn't go out last week, perhaps you could ask for a free pass!

Looks like numbers are going to be about 8 riders, will be a fun day out.

Gonna have to give it a miss as I waiting on new Renthals, switches, rear mudguard, rear lights, number plate.......it a long story but Jon will enjoy telling you how I lasted a mere 5 mins on a motocross track!

Oh alright then :D

1 jerry can of fuel - £20

Half the cost of van hire for the day to get your DRZ there - £25

Sarnies & drink for lunch from the bakers next to the bike shop you have a look in before arriving at "Essex off road" - £5

Entry fee for the day to "Essex Off Road" in North Weald - £15

Come off a night shift, jump in the van with your two mates to go watch & take foties, then watch Jim spend all this money, and do half a lap before falling off the back of his DRZ going up an incline and see the DRZ piroette backwards and land on its bars...................

Priceless :D

Watch your other mate complete another lap before he comes off his KTM 525 and decides to call it a day

Cost (before damage) = £75

Time spent getting there & back = 4 hrs

Time actually spent on bike on circuit = 5 minutes (rounded up  )

I was the giggling imbecile in the middle seat of the van all the way back :D

Fair go, the ground was rock hard tho - must have hurt them both coming off like they did.

not for me

I did the lane just by the wooton hatch at the end of last summer, as I remembered it from land rovering, an easy one . The council (?) have leveled a lot of it with sand.
Discovered just how difficult a sodding heavy bute like a 1150 is on sand. Haven't returned since and probably won't until I get a second smaller bike - currently vetoed by the Mrs.

Have fun you guys:beerjug:

OK guys, looks like there will be about seven or eight of us. Don't forget that the clocks change this Sunday, meet at Newlands Corner near Guildford for 10:00.

I'll wait for about 15 minutes in case there are any lost souls, then we'll be off. If you are going to be late, my mobile number is 07747 761432. But once we're off I won't be able to hear it :D

Roy.

Myself included tomorrow with a 2001 untested KTM400EXC on its Maiden voyage, I have no idea where the meeting point is and I am using Multimap to get there so I may need to use the Mobile to find the way.

If I get lost Mucky Helmet doesn't have a hope in hell of getting there!

Damp

I was out there on Friday in the (t)rusty Land rover.
Its wet out there in places...

I managed to get a half-day pass to join the assorted tossers on the wombat hunt - we didn't find any, but had great fun looking.

Thanks again to Roy for showing us the way round!

The Tosser of the Day award goes to ....... you'll have to wait until the photos are posted!
