Grey seals at Donna nook

Has anyone been at all ?
Been over there this afternoon. Im staggered how close you can get !!

Preferring hills Lincolnshire is not an area I visit much, perhaps I should widen my riding area next year and make a visit as the google earth pictures of Donna nook look very interesting.
I saw a colony of seals on Holey island earlier this year and have never heard such an eery sound, I had no idea what it was until a wild life spotter lent me his binoculars to look at them basking on a sand bank.
I am not a nature lover but there is something nice about coming across deer or seals etc when you don't expect to. To balance this though we met a couple on the Middlesborough transporter bridge who were very disappointed as they had made a special journey to see Seal sands (set between a nuclear power station and an oil refinery) and saw nothing.

Never heard of the place but I too have just had a look on Google Earth and it looks very nice.
Maybe a trip down there over the Christmas holidays.

You should, there's some great riding in Lincs despite it not being overly hilly.

been a few times with the missis or me mates kids
I felt a bit daft on me own
It really is great and you do get as close as to touch -nb. guide told some kids there that fingers look like fish to the seals dont try it !!!!!!!!

Don't come to Lincolnshire - roads are crap, views are terrible.

As for the seals, its amazing how close you can get...just don't get to close as those seal mums can get pretty nasty when you stray too close to the little ones
