Grip Puppies and heated handlebar grips ?

Don't panic!

Just roll them back from each end in turn and thoroughly rinse underneath. Just like your Momma told you. :toungincheek

As long as you use something water soluble to get them on you're ok.

Not had Balders problem even in torrential rain but if they keep slipping; how about a few tiny drops of silicone sealant on the throttle side grip?

silicone sealant on the throttle side grip? :thumb

great- put some silicone sealant under the grip puppy between the puppy and the original grip at either end?

grip puppies

Thanks for your help. I have contacted the supplier to establish what size I need for the GS.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, Hair spray is the way to go.This is an old mountain bike trick where people have been using neoprene grips for many years to soak up vibes. You need to work quickly though as the hair spray will become tacky in only a few minutes. Once on though, they'll be going nowhere, whatever the weather... :thumb.

Delivered in 5 days to Crete. Fitted with hairspray trick ( Thanks Giles ) Took 5 min to fit.

Another happy GSer! :)Fitted mine in about 5 mins using the old hairspray trick. Another MTBer using an old school trick! No such need now thanks to lock ons!:clap

Well....... I've taken mine off!! They were nice and comfy, and soaked up what little vibes I get, but they're just too thick for my liking. It felt like I was holding on to a scaffold pole.
Very nearly cut off my standard grips thinking that i/ the heated grip element was not actually part of the grip itself, and that, ii/ I'd replace the standard grip with a pair of Renthal ones.

Phew, glad I made that call to the service dept just to make sure. The heating element is part of the grip itself. Stanley knife is back in the drawer!
