Having had a new rear bevel drive last July, due to the Dealer washing the bike with a little to much vigour and left the cleaner on, which resulted in the paint crazing, quickest option was a new drive even thought they only wanted to new case it, I have not done to many miles since and have had a vibration from the back end when on tick over, so been having a feel about and the bolt for the Paralever was loose and the rear wheel has about 2mm of play at the most, but when I spin the wheel it feels rough like it is gritty, now I’m not to sure but if this was the lads Mountain Bike I would replace the bearings is this an OK feel with the back end

Newish pads, and just brushing, if you swing the wheel it goes then stops after 1/2 to 3/4 turn, will push them of and give it a try :thumb2

best fix I can think of is the application of

F800GS [it has a chain tha noos]:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Les, when you say it has play of 2mm in the rear wheel, in which direction do you mean? Turning the wheel in the direction of motion? Or waggling the wheel?

Dirty orable oily things that rattle, given them up, you'd best get down here and I'll get the lights sorted for you as well :D

Nice colour though :thumb2

Les,

You need to get the bike to your dealer. It sounds like you have a bearing braking up.

.

If it is the unit is only 8 months old, hope they warrant parts fitted under warranty, when the warranty has run out  if you know what I mean.
