About to get a new slab laid for a shed and would like some advice on ground anchors. Most seem designed for retro fitting into existing concrete - what's the best available for casting in new concrete ?
A 1200?

Make your own.
Made mine from an empty 5L waxoil tin. Cut to correct size, make two holes and thread thru a lenght of scaffold tube about 6" wider each side.
Fill scaffold with concrete - makes cutting next to impossible.
Plant in the ground, laye hardcore around it and then conrete screen on that.
My bar is about 4 inch deep, no chance of getting a cutter to it.
Total cost - cak all.

Yes - no point in spending £25 on a branded retro fit anchor.
If you live near to a Blacksmiths or Metal fabricators, get them to bend some large diameter solid section stainless bar (or do it yourself if you have the equipment) over the end of an anvil or 60 ID drift. Make the tails about 500mm long and weld some flat plate to the ends of the 'loop'. Dig hole, place loop in ground and fill with conc.
Make sure you paint the end of the loop in a bright colour so folk don't trip over the newly made man-trap!
