Gues what, the nice customer service girl from my local dealer has been in touch to see if i`m happy with the work they have done to cure the noise on my 1200. I explain very patiently that they have not, despite having the bike twice & that the service engineer from BMW UK is coming up to ride it on December 1st. DOES SHE NOT READ THE FECKING FILES!!!!!

Sounds like a noisy bearing on the final drive. Been there from 300 miles, still there at 2000 miles. funny the dealer cant hear it!

Just wondering, do you have a hugger fitted? I found that mine acted like a megaphone, exagerating any noise from the final drive!

Still had a new final drive fitted at 600mls though (found metalic particals in an oil sample taken, sounded like a tipper truck on the over run)

No hugger fitted, sonds like a similar problem. hopefull it will get sorted soon as i am loosing faith that it will get me home one day.
