How on earth do you get 65mpg out of a KTM is the big question. Every report I've read suggests 40mpg is the norm.

hi Dongle, I would be interested in a more accurate mpg test, perhaps over say 250 miles of varied riding, brim the tank, reset the trip computer & when you get near 250mls brim the tank again, taking note of fuel used..
Fancy a change & I've read your write up, might be a contender, otherwise I'll keep my 2013/2014 WC

What I can say is, I regularly fill up after 310 miles from a full tank (originally filled to the brim) and I can fit 22 litres in the tank. 22 litres for 310 miles. Thats 64 mpg. Now that is taking it very steady (like 60-65mph) on the motorway which comprises of 95% of the entire trip.

Additionally, when I first got the bike I reset the trip and went for a ride though the lanes. 45mpg average. Again, not going mad but opening it up on occasion.

So, if you give it some beans, your mpg suffers on this bike. Go very steady and you get good results. But I guess you'd get the same on a GS.

Interesting numbers. The price of petrol doesn't seem to have changed much over the years either. I've been topping up with £10 worth for ages, and it hasn't cost me any more for goodness knows how long............I'll get my coat.

After 3000 miles on the SA, the fuel situation. Ave is 53/55 mpg part motorway, part London traffic. Traffic mpg is 40 to 45mpg. Cruising on motorway is 55-60mpg. B roads are 40 - 50 mpg.

Oh and you can't trust the Fuel Remaining value.
