GS 1200 Wheel MOD

Problem , I would like a 17" front wheel on my 1200GS.
Question , how?
No cast wheel available yet (maybe when new RT available ) as a straight swap, can anyone re-lace a BMW wheel with a 17" rim ?

I would approach this one with caution. The 1200 handles a dream when it settles itself in. But, it turns in really quickly and is very light and flickable.

Putting a 17inch front wheel in may upset the handling and make the bike turn in too quickly. A smaller radius front wheel will drop the front, increase the rake on the forks, and make it downright dangerous. I stress MAY, cos no one has done it yet.

If its because you want to use sportsbike rubber, why not try the new Bridgestones.

Yep , Used 020's and got them sliding. Ok it was hot and at Brands Hatch. Just want better ( softer/sportier) rubber.
