Hi after some advice from you more experienced GSers

My knees have been aching recently and I think my legs are too bent. I’m 6ft with long legs, I need to play about with the seat as well etc, but what’s peoples opinions on lowered pegs, They help much ? And do they change the amount of lean angle being lowered etc. any opinions brands that ain’t going to cost a fortune, maybe dare I say it AliExpress type?

And also recommendations on a taller screen? Currently have the standard rally TE version and gets loads of wind and with a Spain tripped planned need to be comfortable

Many thanks

Afternoon.

6ft 5in here, lower pegs (SW Motech) Bar raisers (up only! not up and back) Seat on high at front, low at back. Also, wind deflator on top of the standard screen........all day comfort, completed Iron butt's on this set up, 1,000 miles in under 24 hours.

Hope this help.

Have lowered Wunderlich on mine, you will need to play with the gear/brake levers to suit.Have a Puig touring screen with Chinese deflector on top,at 6"3 it does a decent job.I also have a CM seat which is far superior to the standard, raised fractionly but the design is better and more ergonomic on the hips, knees. Also have straight up risers.Stick a wanted add up for the parts you want, plenty of gear goes through this site.

I ended up with Wunderlich. They are well made and easy to fit. and drop around 20/25mm. Others to look at are Touratech, MV Motorrad Technik, SW Motech and MV. Burridge 01 comments you may have to play with gear and brake levers. Personally have not needed yo change gear lever position and I am size 12 feet. Rear brake I have left alone but think I do need the Wunderlich cam that just repositions the centre of pedal lever . The cost is around £36. Hope this helps. keep a look out on ebay and GSuser forsale section.

I also have the Wunderlich lower pegs on my R1250GS and they definitely helped with my aching knees, gave me a much better sitting position. I did have to play with the gear lever on mine though, I chose to fit the OEM rather than the Wunderlich inserts and there just wasn't quite enough adjustment - in the end I trimmed 5mm off the end of the adjusting rod and that sorted it.

6ft here with 33” seam.
AliExpress pivot pegs, seat on high at front low on rear, GSA standard screen and Cymarc brackets. No issues and all day comfortable even with creaky knees.
Total cost £130

thanks for reply,
Yes I’m on a budget tbh, why is high on front and low on back the better position? The AliExpress pivot legs, they the one with the cams that can be adjusted at angles as well as being lower? Seen some for 30 quid

cheers

Seat position makes it more level than sloping into the tank. I used the fake pivot pegs which are wider but at the same level.
Do the seat first and then the pegs if you still need more room.
