£1.50 a day. You can’t have a solo lash in Covent Garden, London W1 for that. But, when you mount your spanking new awesome 1300 TE, it’ll all be forgotten.

Thanks Wapping , you’re quite right to put it into an appropriate context. It hurts, but only because my lovely big clunky old fashioned heavy 1250 Adventure was much cheaper for me to insure

My father, who had nothing to do with insurance, used to relate many things to the price of a pint of bitter; duller people use a loaf of bread. It’s not a bad measuring stick. A pint of London Pride is banging on six quid, here in London *. All gone in a few minutes and nobody minds having two (or more) or buying a round for their friends. £1.50 is about a quarter of a pint, for a full day’s worth of insurance.
It’s tricky to find anything else that cheap on a daily basis and, effectively, fixed price for one year. We shan’t go into its true value, should you be as unfortunate as to write off your awesome or have it stolen in the “I was just away for a minute, buying a £4 coffee in Star Bucks” or, heaven forbid, somehow hit a schoolgirl absent minded in the road (or you fiddling with your sat nav) putting her into a wheelchair and needing continuous support for the rest of her life for, let’s say…. Um… er…. over a couple of million and rising…. Or just scratching that Ferrari by accident (it happens) making progress in the rush hour as only w@nkers sit in cages…. A couple of thousand (minimum) if you are lucky to put that right.
* Trendy (usually unpleasant) craft beers and nasty lagers are more but some here love them, just the same.
Eh ?
Insurance, All insurance is a piss take. They are all in it together. Its only because its a legal requirement they get away with it. I buy a pint of beer, because I want to, Because I enjoy it. AND because I've earnt it !I don't buy insurance for the same reasons. So how is that applicable ?
Wot a load of old tripe !
