Sold GS 1300R TE - July 24 bike with <1000 miles includes 3 year maintenance pack in Staines Middx

My very good friend has developed a life changing condition and has asked me to help him sell his recently purchased bike.

GS 1300R TE purchased new from Vertu BMW Motorrad Exeter on 29th July 2024 and has a private GS13 ... plate fitted. I haven't photographed it yet but I will do and will add pictures shortly. I'm not personally a GS owner, so excuse my ignorance - my BMW is a backside up, head down S1000RR.

This bike is fitted with adaptive ride height and dynamic cruise control.

It comes with Touratech engine crash bars fitted. It also comes with the Urban style Touratech Soft Pannier Travel set of 2 waterproof panniers (40L) which are unused and still boxed and the necessary Touratech Pannier Rack (still boxed). It also comes with £849 worth of Lone Rider BMW GS 1300 motorcycle lights, bar clamp mount bundle with MotoCAN connectivity (still boxed)

It was £23,000+ bike with an additional several thousand pounds worth of extras to be added, it has a 3 year maintenance pack (valid in any UK BMW Motorrad dealership) until July 2027 and less than 1000 miles on the clock.

He is looking for offers exceeding £19,995 for everything listed above.

Just as an update, I now have the exact spec quote which I can forward as a pdf to interested parties..

July 2024 GS 1300R TE with the Triple Black option (Black Storm Metallic) with black spoked wheels, Touring Package (L&R BMW Pannier fittings (without panniers), centre stand, chrome exhaust, prep for GPS, electric windscreen, sports brakes, central locking, hand protector extension, riding mode pro, Gearshift Assist Pro, DSA, Headlight Pro, Intelligent Emergency Call etc. Its had the both the delivery inspection service and the first running in service completed. I've yet to establish the mileage, but it hasn't been ridden since late November 2024 and my friend who owns it, pictured below, believes it to be less than 1,000 miles.

The paid for BMW fitted optional extras include: Black spokes, heated seat, Adaptive Rider Height Control (bike lowers itself on the DSA suspension when you come to a halt so that you can get the whole of your boot on the floor), Riding Assistant, Anti-Theft alarm, LED Additional Fog Lights, BMW Top Case, L&R Carrier fittings.

The list price was £22,630 originally on the road (and yes, that did include VAT). It also comes with a transferable BMW 3-year maintenance service package valid at any BMW dealer which has nearly 2 ½ years left on it.

The bike will be sold as the above quote, the Touratech crash bars, Touratech luggage frame mountings, Touratech waterproof luggage and Lone Rider lights were never fitted and we'll offer those separately later on this forum and it has a BMW Motorrad Akrapovič twin pipe exhaust fitted, which I will remove this week and put the stock BMW factory fitted chrome exhaust back on.

We're looking for sensible offers for the stock bike as above, without the Touratech, Lone Rider lights which are brand-new unfitted extras and without the currently fitted Akrapovič exhaust, if anyone would like to see the original BMW quote listing everything purchased on the bike, then please send me a DM and I will forward it. More pictures and exact mileage to follow this week.

Given the reason for the sale, I'd talk to the supplying dealer to sell on his behalf.

Dealers are human despite their behaviour at times, so anyone half decent should do the right thing here.

Apparently most new bikes have finance, so that is where selling privately you may be restricted.

So, we have now an offer from a BMW dealer, it is fair given that they have to make a profit. The price my friend would like is £16,750 as the stock BMW bike he purchased from Vertu listed above.
