There hasn't been one for sale in the UK for ages AFAIK. I'd say 10K might be a little rich but certainly well over 6K. The best option would be a trip to Germany and ride one back. I had the luxury of riding an absolute minter Basic a fair few years ago - back to back with a G/S and and a standard 80GS and the Basic just felt so much nicer to ride. Great bikes
In Oz paralever GS s are about half the price of a unmolested G/S, more so if the G/S is a PD.
But we actually ride the bikes as the were intended over here, so we don't have the same posers market for unrideable race replicas that you lot drool over.

I been looking for one for ages, eventually picked up a sub 12k miles bike from Germany. They are not cheap. Even on German eBay and mobile.de they are becoming rare (for a good original one) and expensive. I would allow €10k +. The conversion to a Kalahari will be plus £1300 ish, you need tank, paint, graphics, knee pads, fuel tap, etc.
Pm me if your interested Kenny, its got frames and metal mules now ( optional) think its on 15400 miles now, light use and a good euro trip under its belt. I had BMW Willams do the the shims and a new motad thingy yellow battery on it.
