Did someone post a cheaper version a while back?.. My GS911 has the round female 10 pins and I need to go to the oblong one now fitted on 2017 on bikes.
They do sell them at Hex for £25 plus £5 post, but I think it was Smog who'd found one of e-bay or Amazon.
Has to be male / male ends I think :)

Female to female that one... Its Male / Male I need... If they don't exist I'll have to get the Hex one as Mr Bean's done...

So you want to go from the old style Hex, the 10 pin round one to the rectangular OBD Port that are on recent bikes ? Is the one i listed not correct then :nenau I always thought there was only one cable, maybe im wrong bugger knows :comfort:augie:D

yes, old style hex... with round port and femail pins... to what ever is on the 2017 bikes.

I know Smog found one but spent a good hour this aft trying to find his post LOL

First one I bought was wrong way round too, but I got the right one on ebay, was under £10.

Indeed.. Smog did send me a link once when I got the newer bike... but can't find it. Never mind, will have to spend £30 at Hex... thanks for looking anyway guys :beerjug:

I don't recall the link you are referring to, but searching Ebay bring up both male and female adapter cables. Apparently one of the types (the ones we can not use) are way cheaper than the opposite ones.
The Ebay cables where in fact more than double the price from the Hex cables ...

Beats me why...

If found F/F ones on evilbay but not the correct ones, maybe different search criteria, dont know. Id say just go with Hex at least you can send it back if its faulty or packs up. Although i realise thats unlikely.:thumb2:D

Or if your mechanically minded ,

buy the bits and make one yourself

I made one from pinning out the the 10 pin connector on the bike and wiring to the corresponding pins on the back of a male

OBDII 2 plug ( i was using an ELM module )

Male or female it's just a matter of soldering up to the back of the plug/socket

good idea... but if you get it wrong?.. for £30 may as well buy one ;)
