Hi chaps,

I'm still struggling to figure out what's up with my 2004 GS' ABS/Servos. I've just got the bike back together now, but they're still playing up (no servos/ABS until the bike's been on a good run - I'd suspect the battery, but it's a fully charged year old Odyssey).

Anyhow, doubtless it's the ABS pump, but in the vain hope that it's maybe something simpler I was wondering about renting someone else's GS-911 to check for any error codes. I'd like to check myself before trusting it to BMW to tell me it's going to cost me £1500+ to fix.

So, is there anyone in Cheshire with a GS-911 that I could rent for a day or so?

Cheers, Ross.

Search through recent threads. I've reported similar symptoms and reckon the problem is that the servo taskes more current than the alternator gives, thus reducing the battery voltage to the extent the ABS controller spits its dummy out. I'd wager the price of a pint that any errors you find are low voltage warnings. Any dealer can check fault codes for you in a few minutes so phone the dealer of your choice. Southport Superbikes charged me just under £20 to check for and clear fault codes.
