GS-911 Update out (Rear Lights)

It’ll be nice to see what actual end results can be achieved with the rear running lights / indicators. I like the idea of them, and would like to see indicator and running light only when braking (brake light disabled on the side indicating). Sadly, from what I have read, this may not be the case. Will see at the weekend though.

If you scroll down in the link it shows you what you can change

By the looks of it you can reduce the intensity of the light so it no longer interferes with the brake light

However my bike doesn't have these indicators so can't check for you

I plugged in yesterday and no update offered ; still waiting . Sadly there’s no notification , so unless I look , I won’t know.

How do you know they are dangerous?
What are your sources ?
You mean other than the overwhelming demand for Hex to bring in this change after so much feedback.....because they certainly didn't do it for shits and giggles

That type of source??

Or the numerous threads on here of people discussing it and how they feel it's dangerous...

Those type of source??

Or the booming trade in plug in modules from another company despite the high price?

I was on a group ride at the weekend and I was Volun-Told to lead because mine has these modules so the others can tell when I'm indicating... They are waiting for this update before deciding which way to go but both agree that something needs to be done.

I am wrong ; there is email notification and the big update , with lots of new functions , available for firmware update today;
Lots ( and I mean lots ) of lighting customisation , tyre pressure warning options , red line customisation etc blah blah blah.

There’s another thread current , which is similar .
However options are as follows ;

I've had a play and there are options.

Reducing the brake light intensity to 50% makes them match the centre brake light and the indicators are more visible.

Reducing the intensity to 10% effectively turns the brake lights off in the indicators leaving the centre light as one big brake light.

Reducing it to 0% on both functions and turning the centre light on as a running light is basically mimicking the pre 21 bikes.

Personally I have set everything back to standard and refitted the plug-in modules, but I do want to get my hands on my friends 21 bike to try these settings out on the road. So I can follow and see what it looks like.

I had a similar play today with my 2021 bike and stayed with standard setting. However, I like the idea of reducing the brake light intensity to 50% which makes them match the centre brake light. I will give that a go when I get my hands on my new bike next week.

We can now do the Hex GS911 updates at Rugged Roads. If you want to bring your bike in we will do it for you whilst you have a wander around and have a fresh coffee. Cost is £30.00. Just not on a Wednesday at the moment as I have that day off and other staff are not so clued up on it yet.

Good to know Annette and I will pass this on when people have questions

Also thank you for sorting me out with my Klim Latitude kit.

Does the GS911 gizmo allow us to turn off the auto cancel indicators, so they stay on until you physically switch them off 🤷‍♂️

As two have confirmed , the answer is yes and also the ability to configure the distance before self cancelling, but I’ve had a brain fart and can’t find a link to support that.
