Hi everybody, does anyone know if the gsa low seat is lower than the low setting of the gs seat , sorry if it sounds a bit confusing? cheers

Hi,
I am guessing you are talking about the latest R1200GS compared to the latest R1200GSA both unladen with standard OEM Seats fitted in the lowest position.
In that case the seat on the GS is 850mm and the seat on the GSA is 910mm according to the BMW Specification.

Thanks pilot, no its a low seat that was bought fron bmw for the adventure that i have the chance of buying but dont know if it will be lower than my existing standard seat?

Ah Right. Well according to the details on the Motorrad website the BMW low seat for the R1200GS is sighted as giving a seat height of 820mm. I.E 30mm lower than the standard seat.
They don't however list a low seat for the GSA but assuming it is 30mm lower the std gsa seat that would make it 880mm which is 30mm higher than the standard GS seat.
Thus the answer to your question appears to be no the Low GSA seat is not lower than the std GS seat on a low setting.

Chandlers told me my GS seat on low setting will fit a GSA and only be 5cm higher

when i bought my 1200gsa i payed £147 for the BMW extra low seat they fit either the gs or gsa. But the seat is all black not a problem.Hope that helps.

i have an 08 12gsa with the low seat and it is lower than my old 06gs12,so the answer is yes.hope this helps.
