whats the thinking behind the front brake pipe ?

flexible hose from the handle bar into the ´S´rigid piece before the caliper.

why two different sections ?

despite my GSPD having a low mug guard ,the lower rigid section has still taken some tweaks, and where it leaves the caliper it looks a bit bent....

would a longer (allowing for fork travel) hose all the way to the caliper be possible ?

maybe re-routed outside of the fork ?

has anyone else ever tried changing the set up ?

:)

Yep, i have got a full flexi pipe straight into the calliper. Its been on for years and is fine

Simply measure the length you require and send a pm to one of the advertisers on Eblag or direct to any brake manufacturer.
No harm in keeping the bike standard though. I'd personally replace the lower section of brake pipe like for like and fit a s/s replacement goodridge hose. Just my 2d worth :thumb2

I went down the full flexi route on my PD.
Id be surprised if you couldnt find somewhere local who couldnt make one up while you wait.
Takes 10 mins.
Take the original with you,to ensure you get the correct fittings each end.
Jim.

make you own its cheaper (can you tell i come from yorkshire ) .
i bought all the bits from motorworks , only replaced the flexi .:thumb
