Gs fuel connector issue help

Tossers when disconnecting the fuel tank the male connector broke in the female side. I’ve got the broken bit out but the male is fucked. Does anyone have a spare male they don’t want, motorworks want £32 for a metal replacement and a cheap plastic one is £20.

Or any ideas does anyone supply good well priced items

alternatively, motorworks sell used ones, both metal and plastic, so worth giving them a call. they dont always show all used stock on their website.

dont bother buying plastic ones, false economy.

Bite the bullet and buy the brass/chrome ones. One less problem to rear it’s ugly head one day in the future.
I always carry spare plastic ones if needed by me or someone else on the road.
Even the male metal ones, the springy tube insert is still plastic.

Bit of red rubber grease on re-assembly will put off the day when the plastic ones fail - but they will fail and of course at precisely the worst possible moment.

theres a guy on the 'BMW R1150GS Owners' facebook page selling a pair of the metal tills ones for £45 posted.
