GS GEARBOX AND ADVENTURE GEARBOX DIFFERENCE.

Hi the gearbox on my 1999 1150 gs is making very nasty bearing noises

Is there any differences between the normal GS box and the adventure box,Am I right in thinking its just the ratios and the colour.
