After getting fed-up with all 12v devices basically having to have their plugs replaced in order to operate on the GSA and not wanting to cut holes in my fairing....... a bit of designing was in order.

I have a couple of these sets available at £36 per set incl. Postage

The set includes:
- 2 x Black coated laser-cut brackets (left & right-hand side)
- 1 x 12V Marine-Grade Waterproof socket to take normal plugs fitted in left-hand side panel (With or without labels)
- "Press-outs" for optional Starcom bulkhead mounting and right-hand panel for additional, optional 12V Waterproof socket
- Power cable with inline Waterproof 15A blade-fuse with connectors to fix on battery
- Black ties to fit to frame

The units literally take about 15mins to install. The right-hand panel is obviously blank, but should you require an additional power point - it's ready to accept another socket.

I can bring a couple of these sets with me in Feb when I come over.... and if there's interest for more, I'll bring the rest along in March when we move!

NB - the first set was reserved by Sgt Bilco - so if he declines, it will be passed onto the next Tosser.... :thumb

That goes for me as well :augie

Daar gaan die Afrikaans al heeltemal deur die Britte se ore!

Hehe - nice one. I'll be in the UK now from 4th to 10th Feb. Coming back to SA to do final packing and will be leaving SA permanently in March.
During the "final" move I can obviously load a bit of kit in for the move... so just let me know whether you want me to bring it to Blighty or do you want me to leave it here in Cape Town! :thumb

Sommige, soos ek, gebruik bekende soektog vertaling. Nie altyd korrek vertaal though!

It will be quite an interesting to have a chat over a pint of the best using only an online translator for communication! Will give you a shout when I'm up north!

Goosepilot ... should you make anymore panels then how about considering incorporating a waterprrof USB power socket like this
http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=228414&highlight=waterproof

I actually looked at that specific plug option but there were a couple of issues.

- cost of the "special" plug would add quite a bomb to the bracket price...... US$20 + VAT + Import duty + Shipping quickly adds up .... - ALSO a big factor is that although that is a really nice plug and design - there are numerous complaints that it will not charge a cellphone. You need 500mA or at least 1000mA - but the 'Mericans seem to think it only supplies the 100mA as per USB output allowance? see - http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brow...4494P/USB%2BWeatherproof%2BPower%2BOutlet.jsp

- the position of the USB plug might well be more awkward - it's easier if you have the USB connector insie your tankbag or perhaps topbox
- saw "this" little device - which would sort the USB issue if needed... and should be more cost effective than pushing the cost of the whole panel up?

I will however get hold of one of those USB connectors and have the one panel lasercut to fit the device - then at least there is the option to fit one should you need it.......... ?

Remember that the one panel I supply - already has the cut-out for an additional socket on the left-hand side of the bike........ you could perhaps just get one of these: http://www.powerlinkproducts.co.uk - which would fit perfectly!

Chaps - please take note:

As per the original post, the following Tossers responded and have been allocated a set of these 12V Accessory panels.

The panels were offered at - £36 per set incl. Postage.
This was an introductory price and for the first couple designed and sold.

The 6 Tossers that took the option were:

- CHASMILL (Paid to be posted next week from the UK)
- SgtBilco
- Wilbjr21 (Paid to be posted next week from the UK)
- SeanC (Paid and posted to Kenya)
- Berin
- Easy

Various changes were made to the panels, which obviously added a slight price increase - however the final product will be advertised/posted in a new Vendor post where orders can be placed. I'm bringing an additional 10 sets to the UK next week!
