GS Maintenance Course in Wales.

Depending on the date, me too please.
I'll stick your name on the list Jane. The numbers are building up at a fair rate. If numbers get out of hand, Slimbo has said he may do 2 consecutive days ie one on Saturday and an identical course on Sunday. There's dedication for you. :bow

At the moment I've written the names on the back of an envelope, but I'll try and get more organised tonight. :thumb2

Just spotted this, please count me in depending on which weekend in Feb gets chosen :beerjug:

GS Maintenance

If there's room, can you add me please Saturday or Sunday (as long as I'm not on call).

well im back chaps, sorry for the delay but the AA in their infinite wisdom decided to try to educate me. so last week i was doing learning..

as taff has said to keep the training intimate we may split into two sessions either a sat and a sun or two sat's ..

this would be better to allow those attending a chance at buggering my bike up ?..

so a date? well its still in the hands of the owners of the building. should be very soon , dont give up we will be organised..
cheers slim..

dates

Seeing as I bought philw's bike... I'd be happy to attend in his place as he had originally said he was going...

I'll drop Slimbo a text tomorrow to see if he's got a date lined up. The last I heard, he'd written to the owners for consent to use their building and was waiting for a reply.

Ok gang. I've heard back from Slimbo and the date is Sunday 15th March 2009 ie just in time for the start of the touring season. It has to be a Sunday apparently as the workshop gets used every other day, but this shouldn't be a problem as most people will have the Sundays free. To avoid any confusion, that date clashes with the England v France rugby match but that's the only one on that day. Slimbo proposes starting at 10.00am and it will be an "all day" course - obviously we will break for coffee / lunch etc, but there will be a lot to fit in. IIRC the cost will be £30 per person to include cost of the venue, food, drink etc. After all the costs have been met, any profit will go to a local charity, and given that Slimbo is giving his time for free, I propose that he nominates the charity. Knowing Slimbo he's putting in a lot of effort into this - so let's make it a good one. :bow The free craic should be good too. :D

Can you let us know if you're still interested, so we can collect numbers, arrange deposits etc. :thumb

I will now be away until Sunday so may not be able to answer any questions till then, and by the sound of it Slimbo is up to his ears in work so he may not be able to log on either.

Too late for me - I've a baby son due on 14th March so hopefully will be up to my ears in nappies again!1:blast

I guess there needs to be a limit on numbers at some stage

Taff - how many are you up to so far, and are there any more places?
