I need to go to Liverpool city centre tomorrow. Can anyone suggest a suitable parking place, for the GS, around the Adelphi Hotel/Lime St/Ranelagh St area?

Cheers,

Paul, you should take off your indicator lenses, or you may end up like Yosi:D
Can't help with parking,Newcastle yes, Liverpool -no.

I wouldn't advise just parking anywhere in Liverpool - the traffic wardens (sorry parking attendants) are very serious about their job.

A traffic warden told me a whole ago that you're allowed to park bikes for free in any council pay and display car park in Liverpool.

Also there are some on street motorcycle bays, although they quite often have cars parked in them. The nearest one I can think of near to Lime Sreet is on the road that runs behind Central Station, between Renshaw Street and the pedestrianised area:

Don`t know if it`s the one Mouse means, but there is an area next to Central Station,at the end of Bold Street, where bikes are allowed to park with no hassle.
There`s a few lock up rails, and space around the area too.
It`s only a couple of minutes walk to Lime Street station or the Adelphi from there.
Depending on your time scale/length of stay/paranoia about the bike, you`re always welcome to leave your bike at my house and get the train over...costs about a pound and takes about 15mins

You can leave it anywhere you want -whether it'll still be there when you get back to it might be another matter!;)

Renshaw Street

There is major road works around the Adelphi at the moment, you may find it a bit difficult to get around, if you have a map and you can approach Renshaw Street from Hardman Street/Berry street end, there is parking for several bikes in the 1st road on the left, but beware as rapid Hardware store loads up from vacinity.
The Adelphi is only a couple of minutes from here.
Good luck and I hope you have a pleasant visit.

You would be quite welcome to park your bike in my garage, I am a 15 minute train ride from Liverpool City centre on the Northern line.

Thanks for the guidance, guys (some of it was actually quite useful) & I appreciate the offer of assistance, Tarka & Teal'c. I always park in full public view or where it will be watched - much less likely to be tampered with...... Not guaranteed though, anywhere.

I think I've a few choices there so should be well sorted. I'd heard about the roadworks so thank goodness I'll be on the bike.

Liver birds

Well Paul was your bike still there when you got back to it and indicator lenses intact?.
I suspect they would have been, honest lot of people us Scousers.
I expect the only problem you had was dodging the droppings from the Liver Birds they do like to give visitors a souvenir of their visit.

Safe riding.

Never had any doubts that the bike would be perfectly safe. It was only 50yds from where I was working, in full view & parked with several other bikes. It was also totally untouched by your Liver Birds, but the roadworks all over the city were a royal PITA. Bloody GPS had a fit over all the recalcs - still managed to get away though.....;)

A great day for riding, as well..... sunny, warm & being paid to do it. Perfect
