GS Parts interchangeability list?

Hi Guys,

Pardon my noobieness, but...

I've read a lot on here about swapping wheels, driveshafts and seats, tanks, shockers etc, and I was wondering if there's such a thing as a list of the interchangeable parts between the GS's, and also any other Models?

For example, exactly how much difference is there between an 1100 and an 1150 apart from the extra cc's and an extra gear?

If you could point me to it's location I'd be most grateful, or if there is no such list perhaps one of the esteemed gurus on the site might start a sticky about the subject?

Do they? From my researches on this and other sites, I had thought that the general consensus of opinion was that the red ones were fastest? Probably because of the colour/road rage factor?

You may be right that silver 1150 adventures go faster than anything else (although I fear Hayabusa and ZZR1400 owners may disagree) but since the owners never open the throttle enough we may never know...

Lots of differences .

The list would be too long. And would take far to long to compile, and they'd still be bits missing .

Easier just asking what bit you'd like to interchange.

Best option is to get hold of a copy of the ETK CDROM (Ersatzteil katalog = parts list) as it has an option to check a part (from whichever BMW model & then check what other models use the same part number.

Checkout eBay & pay no more than about £5.
