GS resurection

Ahoi. My R1100GS has been sat covered for a while and I’d like to get someone round (London E17) to give it a once over before I spruce it up for sale. It’s a 1999 anniversary silver and yellow paint with 30k miles, if anyone’s interested. Remus exhaust and bars.

Could anyone recommend a mobile mechanic in the SE that does this type of thing?

Ha used to live in E17... It's a Dakar model, Kalahai yellow and Titan silver if I remember right and quite rare especially in 1100 form... Had one for a while and so did a few on here...

If it were me I’d be getting it on a trailer and over to Steptoe toot-sweet. If there was a mobile mechanic down that way who was anywhere near as good I think we’d know about him.

Every bike I’ve recently looked at that’s been sat unused has had a seized fuel pump and extremely rusty fuel pump tank flange/holder

Of course. Exposed thread cleaned before removal, soldering iron on the two troublesome nuts so nice and hot, hey presto, all good
