GS Service Needed in Middle East

Hi Guys,

My rear drive has failed on my 2005 BMW R1200GS and we are currently waiting for the ferry from Egypt to Jordan. We had this same problem on Speedy's 2004 BMW R1200GS last year in Mexico, so I am sure the rear drive needs to be replaced. There is at least 1 inch of play in the rear wheel from side to side. I can still ride it, but I don't think it will last much longer.

We have contacted the BMW Dealer in Amman, Jordan but they don't sound very knowledgable about this motorcycle.

If there is anyone who knows of a BMW Motorcycle Mechanic in Jordan, Syria or Lebanon. I think I can make it to these places before total failure.

You probably know this already but the only one listed on BMW's site for those countries is Jordan, the number is +962 6 581 55000. I'm guessing that's the one you've already called.

Fixing Rear Drive in Jordan

The advertised BMW Motorcycle Dealer in Amman, Jordan is actually a Cars only dealer. They were not interested in helping us at all. We found a Kawasaki Dealer called Zed Motorz Jordan in Amman (Phone: +962 6 5861104). The owner, Iz, has been super helpful. We ordered the part from Germany and they will be installing it today. The mechanic, Isaam, can fix anything.
