startin a new job on monday which will mean i will have weekends free from now on

so im up for it.
thats as long as ye dont feel being in the company of a 18 year old jap bike is beneath ye
I don't want to eat into Padge's available time given the demands on his time the new arrival will bring, but can I take it I should plough ahead with my preparations for a rideout in galway that Saturday. (take monday off and do another big rideout on sunday in a second part of the country!! is it not a bank holiday)
Please note, it can be wet and windy in galway in march.
I wouldn't worry about your steed kyle, You will probably put us to shame. on the trip to morocco in january, all of us bar one were riding pretty new bmw, jap and brit stuff (new triumph tiger, (forget about off-road "heritage"with the new triumph, nice sports bike though!)) One of the spanking new gs standard died just into morocco, trip over for a father and son team of bikers(see tim cullis's blog).
we were all embarrassed by an over-laden 1987 honda transalp purchased on ebay three days before the off for under a £1,000. bar having to push start it in the mornings until we got to Ouarzazate where he got a moped battery for €30, the thing was brilliant and put our modern stuff to shame. some interesting photos on the following link at morocco dakar adventure 2008, see
www.gnasher.smugmug.com for over 500 pics of the trip.
ps hope to collect dr400 soon. infected in achill!
I will continue my recce, no loss in that either way.
