Hi can anyone help me by advising me on what wheels I need to get to convert to 17'' My Gs 1200 is a 2005 and I want use my existing discs etc Regards F custard.
R1200ST I believe.

The Question could be why not .
There are certain advantages to a change of wheels, so it is not a pointless conversion.

Yes - I saw it in 2006 when he first did it. I'm still struggling to find any advantages though.

The reply was for Trevor. I don't know why anyone would want to do it either. 17" wheels does not turn a GS into a supermoto IMHO.

Hi all i am new to the gs community, love my gs and it does so much other bikes ive had could nt. like the idea of 17'' front and slightly wider rear as yes steering will be quicker and more choice of rubber, yes in my opinion i like the look of the ones i have seen. My mates stopped laughing when i still went round them on bends with my knee down, ok its not clever but so many people buy sports bikes and cant ride properly. 100bhp is plenty and being comfy is even better. So i still want to do a few mods ie wheels but need solid advice so any help much appreciated..... regards Trevor

mine is going to get the sm conversion done as soon as i get back from france in 3 weeks time , did want the mega moto , none available at the time ,so bought another gs ,so now going to have the best of both worlds ,and if its still not fast enough ,put a r1200 s motor in it . and have a spare engine as well as wheels .
