GS TE v/s TE Exclusive?

Iced chocolate metallic is correct name! Actually most of the time it looks black and in reality very little of the bike is coloured.

Iced chocolate metallic is correct name! .

...in the UK. In the US it's called expresso metallic. Presumably BMW looked into the relative sales of ice cream and coffee in the two markets...

If Carlsberg built bikes. It would be a GS Triple Black. It is the best looking and fastest. End of! :aidan

I'm picking up a new GS tomorrow (had to get that in - according to Mrs Woodster I am NEVER getting another xmas present again) and had the choice between the Exclusive and the TE in 'Black Metallic Storm.'

I went for the TE in grey/black because:

a) It was cheaper (by a couple of hundred quid) and
b) I liked both paint jobs/graphics but thought the gold calipers on the exclusive looked a bit 'funny.' - a well known motorcycling technical term.
c) I traded in a TB and think the silver engine will be easier to clean because the dirt will be more visible.

That was after weeks of comparing two photos side by side! In the end, you just gotta decide!

Like them both.

Victor, thats not helping as I'm trading in a triple black!

However I've got to agree with you, the T/B is an awesome looker ...when it's clean!

Imho the Exclusive looks great with a grey background.

Sorry, having problems with posting an image attachment. Will try to resolve.

The problem is because the image location you have posted is on your own PC which is not publicly accessible to anyone on the internet, which is as it should be for security.

Instead you need to put the picture on a publicly accessible photo sharing website, making sure that it is one which allows you to generate links ending in .jpg which you can post here. Some of these sites embed your picture in a web page and only give the address of that, which is no good if you want the picture to appear in your post.

I use SmugMug, which though very good, is not free. There are some free sites, though less than there used to be. I am sure others will be along soon with recommendations.

You can do it without uploading to an external site - but you'll probably need to compress the image and click on the '+ Reply to Thread' icon on the bottom left and attach from there.

The maximum file size is quite small.

Hi Dave
I just bought one myself----only done 99 mile because of the shitty icy weather. Where did you get the colour matched jacket from?

Hi, that’s the wife in her Hein Gericke jacket. It was a cold September day in central France

Enjoy the new bike, haven’t been out on mine for 5 weeks
