Well - chopped the RT in for an ex-BMW TripleBlack today...didn't mean to it just sort of happened......I managed a whole year without a GS and got to the point were my wife would helpfully point them out to me when she saw them on the road........

Cracking ride on it yesterday - near perfect for the bends in Snowdonia and across the Denbigh Moors - no regrets at all.....slightly louder exhaust than I remember on my old 12GS but fun as well, nicely sorted now withthe ESA - good bike

Decided against the triple-black
Hi all,
Me and my wife (Double D) crashed our bikes in France 11 weeks ago (1200 Adv and F650GS) and are hoping to get our new replacements next week. I was excited about the idea of a 'special edition' but I just don't like the look as much as the grey one I had - the gloss black tank looks odd, and with the complete forks/wheels being black I don't think it looks right. The other mad thing is that you don't get the £800 free accessories with the triple black! Definitely not a good enough looker to lose over £1000 (with the slight extra cost of the bike too).
Of course, I think all 1200 Adventures are amazing - after 7000 miles of smiles from March to July this year I need to squeeze in another run-in period asap

yes you do get the 800 quid deal on the gs triple black but not on the adv version.

'Fraid so - I stopped in a line of traffic, my wife didn't! She was only doing about 20 mph and both bikes were written off - makes me wonder about all this off-road capability
Hopefully no injuries.
